Helping Recreational Players
Show Up Ready
Sportiva was built for people who love playing sport and want to spend more of that time feeling good about it. We're a small, focused team based in Shah Alam.

Sportiva grew out of a simple observation: most recreational players in Malaysia show up to their games without any kind of preparation routine. They love the sport, they're committed to showing up, but the warm-up happens on the walk from the car park, and the cool-down is a cold drink on the way home.
Our founder, Hafiz Azman, spent years as a sports science educator before deciding to build something more directly useful for everyday players around Selangor. In 2019, he started running small Saturday morning group sessions at a community court near Stadium Shah Alam. The sessions were practical, relaxed, and built around what recreational players actually needed.
Word spread through local badminton groups, futsal leagues, and weekend running clubs. By 2022, Sportiva had formalised into a proper programme with a small team and a growing community of regulars. We're still based in Shah Alam, still running small groups, and still focused on the same thing: helping people feel better about the sport they already enjoy.
Our Focus
We work with recreational players, not elite athletes. Our sessions are designed for people who play sport as part of an active lifestyle — not as a full-time pursuit.
Our Approach
Everything we share is general education and practical habit-building. Sessions are conversational, relaxed, and built to fit real schedules. No jargon, no pressure.
Our Values
Sport is meant to be enjoyable. We believe consistent, low-key preparation habits contribute more to a good sporting experience than occasional intensive effort. Keep it steady. Keep it fun.
The People Behind Sportiva
Hafiz Azman
Founder & Lead Coach
Sports science background with a focus on recreational activity education. Has been running community sport prep sessions in Shah Alam since 2019.
Nur Rasyidah
Programme Coordinator
Manages scheduling, member communication, and the seasonal planning calendar. Plays futsal on weekends and knows first-hand how hard it is to fit prep routines into a busy week.
Zulkifli Ibrahim
Movement Educator
Focuses on movement habit education for badminton and running groups. Brings a calm, practical style to sessions that works well with players at all activity levels.
Our Standards & Approach
We keep things straightforward and consistent. These are the principles that shape how every Sportiva session is planned and delivered.
General Education Only
All sessions are framed as general sport preparation information and community education. We don't make individual assessments or replicate regulated services.
Small Group Sizes
We keep group sizes small — typically 6 to 10 participants — so sessions stay conversational and everyone gets to ask questions and contribute.
Consistent Session Structure
Every session follows a clear structure: context setting, practical content, Q&A, and a takeaway reference. Participants always leave knowing what was covered.
Privacy & Data Respect
Participant information is held securely and used only for session management and communication. We don't share personal details with third parties.
Ongoing Feedback
We regularly review how sessions land with participants. If something isn't working for the group, we adjust — not at the end of a programme, but during it.
Sport Science Foundation
Session content draws on established sport science and movement education principles, adapted for a recreational audience — clear, practical, and free from unnecessary complexity.
Sport Preparation Education in Shah Alam, Selangor
Sportiva provides group-based sport preparation education for recreational players across Shah Alam and surrounding areas in Selangor. Our sessions focus on building consistent pre-game and post-game habits that are easy to maintain week to week.
We work with adults who play recreational badminton, casual futsal, and community running — people who are active by choice and want to be more comfortable in their sport without turning it into a second job. Sessions cover preparation routines, movement awareness, and seasonal sport planning in a format that's approachable and genuinely useful.
The Sportiva team draws on sports science education and practical experience with local recreational sport communities in Selangor. Our programmes range from a single-day introductory workshop to an ongoing seasonal membership, giving participants the flexibility to engage at a level that suits their schedule and commitment.
We're based at Jalan Stadium 22 in Shah Alam and hold sessions on weekday evenings and weekend mornings. Enquiries are welcome from individuals, small groups, and community sport clubs looking for accessible sport preparation education in the Klang Valley area.
